Digital Wellbeing and Keeping yourself safe online In-Person
Session Objective
The aim of this session is to introduce students to basic security features that will help them to keep their ICT equipment safe. The session will also cover essential skills to stay safe online.
Outcome
The learner will:
- Develop confidence to keep their devices up-to-date and understand the importance of basic IT security.
- Develop confidence to identify safe sites and what type of sites to avoid. Additionally, students will also explore cookies and adware, etc.
- Gain an understanding of what antivirus programs do and how to keep them up-to-date.
- Learn how to recognise when a virus has been found and what action to take to stay safe.
