General English: Conversation Cafe In-Person
General English: Conversation Cafe workshops aim to support EAL students (international) to develop their English language skills.
Students will engage in activities that identify their strengths and weaknesses and receive informal feedback on their preformance. Conversation cafes aim to provide the ideal platform for EAL and international students to meet, talk and enjoy refreshments, while developing a cultural awareness within British contexts. Topics of discussion will include:
- The British Monarchy
- Food and eating habits from different cultures
- British geography
- British politics and Brexit
- Famous British writers
- British traditions (Christmas)
